school-based program focused on the prevention of
disordered eating behaviors and related issues in youth. Emphasis is placed
upon physical activity, nutrition, and healthy role modeling to help students
develop and maintain positive body image and self-esteem.
In addition to providing guidance and advice to
help move ActiveVOICES into a full not-for-profit registered charity, corportate
sponsorship from PIC Investment Group will directly impact the health and
wellbeing of students in select schools throughout Saskatchewan and Alberta
through a series of presentations scheduled for September and October 2009.
