Meaghan Buisson - Presentations

Speaking Bio

Comments from previous presentations

“Obstacles do not block success; they define, motivate, and compel it.”

An animated and skilled presenter, Meaghan uses her experiences, sensitivity, humor and knowledge to appeal to audiences of all ages.  Recent engagements include speaking with students grades 3-12, several international conferences, and presenting with former US Vice- President Al Gore.  In 2006, concerned by the growing prevalence of disordered eating behaviors in schools, Meaghan started ActiveVOICES.  Aimed at helping students develop and maintain positive body image and self-esteem, the program is now fully curricula-based with age-appropriate content for grades 3-12.  Coupling athletic background with personal experience, Meaghan inspires youth to embrace healthy lifestyle choices and physical activity while staying true to themselves. Fluently bilingual, she has presented at several national and international conferences and in schools throughout Canada.  In 2007, she was selected and biographied in Scholastic Canada’s The Ten Most Inspiring Canadians
